Main Mission
The Corporate Communications Officer will be responsible for: Implementing the Agency's corporate communication initiatives; producing and distributing tailored content across various channels; contributing to the promotion of the Agency's projects and activities; ensuring the alignment and consistency of corporate messaging; assisting in the management of media relations and stakeholder partnerships; supporting the organization of corporate events; contributing to digital communications management; and monitoring the Agency's public image and brand perception.
The Corporate Communications Officer is expected to deliver the following key outputs:
The Agency's Editorial Guidelines and Tone of Voice.
An up-to-date and fully maintained institutional website.
Active, updated, and growing social media channels with measurable increases in follower growth and engagement rates.
Quarterly communication activity reports.
Evaluation and impact assessment reports detailing the reach and performance of executed communication campaigns.
Responsibilities
1. Implementation of Communication Initiatives
Define the communication strategy and deploy related operational action plans.
Participate in the planning, execution, and tracking of communication campaigns.
Monitor communication activities and generate regular performance reports.
Contribute to evaluating the real-world impact and reach of implemented campaigns.
2. Corporate Content Production
Define the Agency's editorial guidelines based on a contextual analysis (determining what to communicate, how to write/speak, and how to address target audiences).
Draft high-quality copy (press releases, articles, internal briefs, public posts) in strict compliance with editorial guidelines.
Adapt messaging formats across various platforms (web, social media, traditional press).
Ensure exceptional editorial quality, proofreading, and alignment of all content.
Keep corporate communication assets up to date (website copy, brochures, pitch decks, institutional presentations).
3. Digital Communications
Manage, curate, and moderate digital platforms (website, social media channels) while optimizing the Agency’s search engine visibility (SEO).
Publish, schedule, and distribute online content.
Track digital performance indicators (engagement metrics, audience reach, traffic insights).
Contribute to continuously improving the Agency's overall digital footprint and visibility.
4. Media Relations and Events
Support the day-to-day management of media and press relations.
Participate in the conceptualization and organization of corporate events.
Assist in preparing background materials for key events (speeches, press kits, talking points).
Ensure proper media and content coverage during activities (photography, real-time content, event debriefs).
5. Team and Project Support
Guide and assist internal teams with their specific communication and messaging needs.
Support the rollout of dedicated communication campaigns for national digital transformation projects.
Maintain seamless coordination with internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
Editorial Excellence: Outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills in French.
Corporate PR Strategy: Solid command of corporate communications and public relations techniques.
Digital Communication Tools: Mastery of Content Management Systems (CMS) and professional social media management tools.
Information Synthesis: Ability to structure, demystify, and popularize complex technical information to make it accessible to the general public.
Organization: Sharp organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal communication and public relations skills.
Office Suites: Proficiency in productivity software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Mindset: Strong team-player spirit and a service-oriented approach.
Languages: Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a strong asset.
Preferred Education and Experience
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Licence / BAC+3) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications (hands-on experience in digital communications/social media management is a strong asset).
Sector Knowledge: Experience working within an institutional, governmental, or public sector project environment is highly valued.
Technical Background: Proven track record in web content management and corporate social media management.
Awareness: Deep understanding of the modern stakes and trends in public sector and digital communications.
